Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney’s Pecan Puffs

_ cup butter, beat until soft
2 tablespoons sugar, added until creamy
1 cup pecan nut meats, ground
1 cup sifted cake flour.

Stir pecans and flour into butter mixture. Roll dough into small balls. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake in slow oven at 300 degrees F for 45 minutes. Roll while hot in powdered sugar. When cool, roll again.

Note: These burn very easily, so check them while they are baking.
