Junior League of Albany
Board of Directors 2022-23

President: Michelle Mahon (president@juniorleaguealbany.org) Michelle Mahon is currently serving as the President for the Junior League of Albany for the 2022-2024 term. Previously, she held the roles of Secretary and VP of Fund Development.  Prior to joining the Board, she served on the Done in a Day committee, the Centennial Gala Committee, and as Chair of Community Grants.  Michelle received her BS in Finance and HR Management from Boston College and her MBA from The University at Albany.  She has spent her entire professional career in non-profit development. Currently, she is Director of Development for The College of Arts and Sciences at The University at Albany.  She is on the Board of Trustees at The Academy of the Holy Names and volunteers with Boston College.  Michelle lives in Albany with her husband Dave and their dog.

President-Elect: Austin Zaranko (finance@juniorleaguealbany.org) Austin joined the Junior League of Albany in 2017 after relocating from NYC as a way to get involved her in local community. Austin has served on the Little Black Dress Committee for the last four years where she was committee Chair for two years. After graduating from the University at Buffalo with a BA in Psychology she moved to NYC and worked in Residential Real Estate and Luxury Retail. Now a stay at home Mom, Austin lives in Delmar with her husband and two young children and enjoys traveling and marathon running..

Treasurer:  Cathryn Crummey (treasurer@juniorleaguealbany.org) Cathryn joined the Junior League of Albany in 2018 after moving back to the area from getting her MBA in Springfield, Massachusetts. She joined the League to give back to the community and continue her family tradition of community service (both grandmothers were on the board, as well as her sister Carol).  Cathryn has served the League, while simultaneously going to law school, on Touch-a-Truck, Little Black Dress and now on the Board.  Currently, she works as an attorney at Harris Beach practicing in Public Finance. She is recently engaged and enjoys spending time with family and enjoying downtown Albany living.

Vice President Community: Kendall Joyce  (community@juniorleaguealbany.org) Kendall joined the Junior League of Albany in 2015 and currently serves as the VP of Community. Previously, she served as a member of the Communications Council, a co-chair of the New Member Committee and a member of the Nominating Committee. Kendall received her BS in Communications from the University of Miami and her JD from Brooklyn Law School. Currently, she is an attorney for New York State practicing labor and employment law. Kendall lives in Albany with her husband, Chris, and their dogs, Lilly and Maisie.

Vice President Nominating:  Nadia Arginteanu  (nominating@juniorleauealbany.org) Nadia joined the Junior League of Albany in 2017 when looking for a way to give back to the community and meet other, like minded women in the Capital Region. Nadia served on the Touch-a-Truck committee and as a member of the Communications Council before joining the board as VP for Communications. She is a graduate of Bard College and Albany Law School. Nadia is Assistant General Counsel for The Arc New York. She lives in Albany and in her free time enjoys tackling DIY projects around her home, cross stitch, cooking, and travel.

Member at Large: Daphne Remarke (memberatlarge@juniorleaguealbany.org) Daphne  joined the league when she moved to Albany from Philadelphia back in 2017. She’s created lifelong friendships while becoming actively involved with the community of Albany. She lives in Bethlehem with her husband Ryan and daughter Harper. This year she looks forward to connecting in-person with her fellow Junior league members.
